Francis Albert Sinatra is popularly known for his contribution to the music and film industry. He is regarded as one of the most influential musical artists of the 20th century. His records were among the best. During his career as a musician; Francis sold over 150 million records globally. 

Early Life

Francis was born and brought up in Monroe Street, NJ. He was the only son Natalina Garaventa and Antonino Martino, both who were Italian immigrants.

Personal Life

The successful musician was a family guy. He was married to Nancy. The two were blessed with three children Frank Jr., Tina, and Nancy. During one of the summer breaks, Sinatra meat Barbato in Long Branch in New Jersey. Sinatra later agreed to marry Barbato. 

Career

Sinatra jumpstarted his musical career with bandleaders, James, and Tommy Dorsey. His career as a solo artist came when he signed with Colombia Records in 1943. With the record label, he produced his album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra. Three years down the line, his career was nose-diving, and he went back to Las Vegas.

In Vegas, Sinatra joined Rat Pack and grew to become of the best-known residency performer. His career started to pick again in 1953, where his performance won an Oscar. On top of that, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Sinatra went ahead and continued to produce more albums. Later on, Sinatra started his record label and continued to help people release good songs. 

Death

On May 14, 1998, Sinatra died at Sinai Medical Center, where he was undergoing treatment for heart attack. His wife was by his side during his death. The renowned musician was 82 years during the time of his death.
