Early Life
Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi. When he was 13 years old, the family found it best to move Memphis, Tennessee. He started recording music at Sun Records in 1954.
In 1941 he joined first grade at East Tupelo Consolidated which on account he was an average student and was encouraged to enter the music contest. In 1946 h went to a new school Milam for his sixth grade and there he was regarded as a loner. He spent most of his time playing guitars, and he was teased for singing Hillbilly music.
He was crazy about music, and he supplemented it with guitar tuition on chord techniques. After a lot of practice, he overcame stage fright.
Presley could not read and write, and formal music training was an alien He played by ear. He visited record stores and loved songs from several musicians like hank snow, Roy Acuff, Ted Daffan and Jimmy Rodgers.
Personal Life
Presley married Priscilla Ann on May 1, 1967, at Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. They divorced in 19973.
Career
Presley in Nashville January 10, 1956, he made his first recording. He performed in live clubs around Nashville. He was able to appear on CBS television for six appearances on the stage show.
He produced a lot of songs that were on the top of Billboard country Charts and March that year he released a self-titled debut album.
He was rock and roll greatest. He toured the world and won many awards and inducted him to Hall of fame.
Death
He died of cardiac arrest on August 16, 1977, in Memphis, Tennessee aged 42.
