Early Life

She was born on 31 July 1965 in Yate, Gloucestershire.  Her parents were Anne and Peter James Rowling who was an aircraft engineer for Rolls Royce. 

She began writing fantasy stories at a tender age, which she read to her sister who was fairly younger. She was inspired by the autobiography given to her by her aunt on Jessica Mitford. This led her to research by reading more books of Jessica Mitford. 

She disclosed that she experiences a rather unhappy teenage life which was even worse because her mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She did not also get along with her father. 

She developed an interest for rock music and a similar lifestyle when she was in her teen years. 

Personal Life

Rowling attended St. Michael’s primary schools, and later Wyedean school and college for her secondary education. She was rejected at Oxford university even after taking entry exams but she later earned a BA in French and Classics from the University of Exeter. 

She moved with her boyfriend to Manchester and got a job at the Chamber of Commerce. The idea of a young orphan boy attending a wizardry school came to her mind when she was traveling by train to London. On alighting she began writing almost immediately. 

Her mother succumbed from multiple sclerosis. She was not informed immediately and when she got wind of the news it greatly affected her writing. This made her express her loss by writing about it through Harry’s own feelings. 

She was married to Neil Murray on 30 June 1971 who is a Scottish doctor and they had one son. She also had a daughter in 2005 whom she dedicated Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to. 

She also had a close relationship with Sarah brown, who is the wife of the former prime minister of Britain.

She is famous for her work on Harry porter which is a popular film that hit the cinemas.
