Ileana D’Cruz is most famous for her roles in “Telugu” and other films.

Early Life

D’Cruz was born in Mahim, Mumbai to Goan catholic family. It was the manager of the hotel her mother was working in that suggested she starts modelling. The manager then planned an appointment with marc Robinson. She was persuaded to go for the idea because she was kind of reluctant about the whole modelling idea at first. 

It was from there that she landed a number of advertisement deals with Electrolux, Umami and Fair and Lovely. It was from Fair and Lovely that she gained recognition and there were a number of offers which came her way.

Personal Life

It was also believed that the two had already tied the knot. There is no news on her confirming or denying this. On 28 August 2019, it was aired in the media that the couple had parted and this was mainly based from social media platforms. 

Career

She was called for an audition by director Treja, but this project was not successful as it failed. It was in the film Devadasu, in the year 2006, that she debuted her acting career. She had to be taken through acting classes with Aruna Bhikshu, which were kind of tough for her and it took her mother’s backing to encourage her.

She played an aerobic teacher in a gangster film called Pokiri. This was one of the best Telugu films and received one of the best grossing financially. She later debuted in Tamil-language films in Kedi (2006). She then had a number of films that were not that successful before one in 2007 called Aata, which received a number of significant positive reviews. She has since then released a number of successful films that have been sold out.
